Set the Volume on the Droid Bionic
The Droid Bionic’s volume control is found on the right side of the phone as it’s facing you. Press the top part of the button to raise the volume. Press the bottom part of the button to lower the volume.
A volume control works for whatever noise the phone is making when you use it: When you’re on a call, the volume controls set the level of the call. When you’re listening to music or watching a video, the volume controls set the media volume.
The volume can be preset for the phone, media, alarms, and notifications.
The quick way silence your Droid Bionic is to keep pressing the Volume Down button until the phone vibrates. What you’re doing is setting the phone to Silent-and-Vibrate modes.
The Droid Bionic can also be silenced by a swipe of your finger. Obey these steps:
Wake up the phone.
Obviously, if the phone is turned off, you have no need to turn it on just to make it silent. So, assuming that your phone is snoozing, press the Power Lock button to see the unlock screen.
Slide the Silencer button to the left.
Finally, you can thrust the Droid Bionic into Silence mode by pressing and holding the Power Lock button. From the Phone Options menu, choose Silent mode.
When the phone is silenced and in Vibration mode, the Vibration icon appears on the status bar.
You make the phone noisy again by undoing the directions.
The phone won’t vibrate if you’ve turned that option off.
