Okay, this Photoshop bright idea is truly weird! If you're passing an image along to be reviewed by a coworker or client, you may also want to share a note about the image, saying something like, "Do you like this font?" or "Should I heal this zit off the model's nose?" The Notes tool enables you to click and add a virtual yellow sticky note to your image. Of course, it doesn't actually meld into the pixels in the image, but it sort of floats above the surface as a little icon viewers can click to see your comments.
But that's nothing compared with the Audio Annotation tool. Click the Audio Annotation tool on your image, and you actually get a chance to record a spoken message that is embedded into the image. The audio message appears on the image as a little speaker icon; you can double-click the icon to play the message back. Although this certainly could be a useful tool for passing comments along with an image, how about considering an alternative use for this multimedia tool: recording mood music to be listened to while your work of art is viewed. Sure, you've done a great job of cleaning up that spaghetti picture for the Italian restaurant's ad campaign but wouldn't the effort be even more effective if the restaurant owners could listen to That's Amore while they're reviewing your work on-screen?
