PayPal For Dummies
Making PayPal Work for You
Adapted From: PayPal For Dummies

Some of PayPal's real power lies in the ability to customize the way it works and integrate PayPal features into a Web site. You need to know HTML and be comfortable working with scripting languages (such as ASP or PHP) to take advantage of these features. If you are a Webmaster or developer, PayPal enables you to

  • Integrate PayPal buttons and shopping carts into an existing Web site and turn it into an e-commerce Web site.
  • Work with different types of buttons (including Donations buttons) and create customized buttons with the Button Factory.
  • Use PayPal wizards that are available for other software applications. Wizards are available for Adobe GoLive, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Flash.
  • Work with the newly published PayPal APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).
