Developing eBay Business Tools For Dummies
Looking for Something Special?
Adapted From: Developing eBay Business Tools For Dummies

One simple way to demonstrate your customer focus involves special orders. Periodically, people want something like the items you sell, but not exactly. Maybe it's an older model, a hard-to-find color, or just a different size. Whatever the details, special orders represent a great opportunity to pick up some extra business and turn a normal customer into a raving fan.

Stay inside of eBay's parameters if you advertise a special order service on your About Me page. If you can get the item that your customer wants, make sure that you run the sale through an eBay transaction. A fixed-price auction works fine for this type of thing (particularly if you coordinate with the buyer on the timing).
