Because you sell amazing products that your customers crave, you probably know more about the market than other people, right? You spend time following the industry, getting to know the manufacturers, and becoming intimate with the product. You can share your depth of knowledge with your customers. Educate and entertain them, and they belong to you for life!
A simple News and Industry Highlights section on your About Me page goes a long way toward making this concept work. As you find interesting tidbits about your products, market, and industry as a whole, jot down a few words (even just a headline) and add it to your site or About Me page. If you feel like going all-out, include a link to the original story as well (although you don't need to go to that level if you don't want to do it). Most importantly, add a couple of sentences on why you find this news important or significant. Did someone just release a new product that you plan to carry? Did the government pass a law pertaining to your industry? Almost anything like this counts as news, provided your customers find it truly interesting and not just page-filler.
