If you own a small business or are self employed, you must file a quarterly Form 941 which is a form stating how much you paid in gross wages, how much you withheld in federal taxes, and how much you owe for employer payroll taxes.
If you're not a business but you have household employees such as a nanny you must file a Form 942 for the same information.
To get Quicken's help in finding the gross wages totals and the balances in each of the payroll tax liability accounts, follow these steps:
Print the Business Payroll report by choosing Reports, Business, Payroll.
Quicken displays the Payroll Report, but the dates will probably be wrong so click the Customize button.
Specify the range of dates as the start and end of the quarter for which you're preparing a quarterly report.
Click Create. Quicken produces a payroll report, which you can easily use to fill out the quarterly payroll tax return.
To print a version of this report, click the Print button.
