Creating Dynamic Web Sites with Dreamweaver MX 2004
Adapted From: DreamweaverMX 2004 For Dummies

Don't be intimidated by all the panels and options in Dreamweaver 2004. Much of what's been added are the features that were previously reserved for the Macromedia UltraDev program. These include high-end programming features for creating dynamic, database-driven sites using ASP, JSP, and ColdFusion.

And don't worry — if you aren't creating a database-driven site, you don't need to learn these features, at least not yet. But rest assured, they're ready for you when you want to take your site to the next level. Most of the best sites on the Web these days are dynamic and require a database and the power to connect it to the Web. Macromedia integrated these features into Dreamweaver and made sure you had them handy because you're likely to need them sooner or later.
