Mac OS X Panther All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies
Checking Your Flights with Sherlock
Adapted From: Mac OS X Panther All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies

No need to call your airline to see if your flight is on time! You can simply use Sherlock in Mac OS X to track your flights. Here's how.

  1. In Sherlock, click the Flights channel button (the button with the airplane on it).

  2. Click the Airline drop-down list to narrow your search to specific airlines.

To display information on a particular flight, type the flight number into the Flight Number box.

  1. To search by departure city, click the Departure City or Airport Code drop-down list and then click the desired location.

Note that you can also type a city name or airport code directly into the Departure City or Airport Code list.

  1. To search for arrival city, click the Arrival City or Airport Code drop-down list and then click the desired location.

Note that you can also type a city name or airport code directly into the Arrival City or Airport Code list.

  1. Click the Search button.

  2. Click any flight entry, and Sherlock updates the summary section with the specific flight information.

To display any leg of the flight, click the Leg drop-down list box.
