Front Page 2003 For Dummies
Changing Character Spacing with FrontPage
Adapted From: Front Page 2003 For Dummies

FrontPage makes it easy to increase or reduce the amount of blank space separating selected characters. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Format, Font to display the Font dialog box.

  2. In the dialog box, click the Character Spacing tab to make the options visible.

  3. From the Spacing list box, choose Expanded or Condensed.

  4. In the accompanying By box, enter the number of pixels by which FrontPage will expand or contract the selected text.

Note: The Position options in this dialog box enable you to control the amount of space between regular text and superscript or subscript text.

  1. Click Apply to see how the spacing change looks before closing the dialog box, or click OK to close the dialog box and apply the character spacing.

The character spacing options come courtesy of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) commands. Browsers that are unable to display style sheets won't display these effects.
