Bypassing Voice Verification
Adapted From: Macworld Mac Secrets, 6th Edition

There may be times — when you're working in a public library or on an airplane, for example — that you'd rather not use your voiceprint password in Mac OS 9. Instead, when you log in, just press the Esc key immediately to bypass the Voice Verification screen and jump to the dialog box, where you can manually type in your password the old-fashioned way.
