Martial Arts For Dummies
Being a Role Model in Your Martial Arts Program
Adapted From: Martial Arts For Dummies

Remember that as you make your way through the ranks in your martial arts lessons, the students who join the school after you look up to you as a senior student. Set a good example. Behave as your school policy dictates. Perform in class to the best of your abilities and with your most intense effort at all times. Attend rank tests even if you're not testing in order to support other students. Help others, especially new students, become familiar with what's expected of them. Take the time to help other students develop their skills, too. If you're a woman, you may make a special effort to encourage other women. If you're a young student, you may encourage the other young students.
