Yahoo! SiteBuilder For Dummies
Avoiding SiteBuilder Template Remorse
Adapted From: Yahoo! SiteBuilder For Dummies

Yahoo! SiteBuilder requires you to select the template you are going to use before you create your Web site. After you create your site and start adding your own content, you can't simply switch over to another template. Instead, you have to start all over again and create a new site. Therefore, avoid "template remorse" by making sure you explore all the possible templates that you may be interested in before you home in on one to use:

  • Download all the possible templates that you are considering using.
  • Create a dummy site for each of these templates. You don't need much, if anything, on a test site. You just want the basic site created to the get the flavor of the template.
  • Evaluate each candidate.

After you narrow your template list and make a final selection, you're ready to create your Web site.
