Adding a Hyperlink in Excel
Adapted From: Excel 2000 For Windows For Dummies

To create the text in a cell to which you attach a hyperlink, follow these steps:

  1. Select the cell in the worksheet of the workbook that is to contain the hyperlink.

  2. Enter the text for the hyperlink in the cell; then click the Enter button on the formula bar.

  3. Select the cell with the text or click the graphic to be linked.

  4. Choose Insert, Hyperlink on the menu bar or click the Insert Hyperlink button (the one with the picture of a piece of chain link in front of the globe) on the Standard toolbar.

  5. To have the hyperlink open another document, a Web page on the company's intranet, or a Web site on the Internet, click the Existing File or Web Page button if it isn't already selected, then enter the file's directory path or Web page's URL in the Type the file or Web page name text box.

  6. Click OK.
