You've uploaded your photos to MySpace — now what to you do? You have a few options, and you can do it all from the Upload Your Photo screen that you use to upload your pictures in the first place. First, choose whether you want to have your pictures viewed by the public or keep them private. You make that decision by choosing the appropriate radio button.
 | The selection you make with this button applies to all your photos. Choose wisely. |
All of your photos appear under the upload field, and they all have the same options:
- Set as Default: Only one picture can be the default photo at a time. This photo is the one that shows up in the upper left corner of your profile when anybody views it. The default is usually a picture of you, but you can feel free to use others if you want.
- Add Caption: Each photo can have a short caption attached to it to give people a little context — what it is, where it was taken, or the intended attitude. (Think "Me at the beach" or "Do these clothes look funny?" as good examples.)
- Add to Ranking: You can have only one photo at a time added for ranking. If you feel like throwing your images into a popularity contest, click the button under that photo. People can then vote on your image, and you can see what people think. Click the Ranking Score link in the top-right corner of your profile page to see the results.
- Delete: If a picture has outlived its usefulness or you need to clear a little space, just click the Delete button underneath the picture, confirm that you want to delete it, and it's gone.
You can do some other things with your MySpace photos, as well, such as viewing and editing comments from other MySpacers or creating a slideshow:
- Comments: People have the option to leave comments on your photos if you make those photos public. You can view these comments by clicking the View My Pics link in the top-left corner of your profile page and then clicking a photo. A full-size version of your photo appears, along with any comments that have been left and info about who left them. If you like the comment, do nothing. If you don't like it, you can click the small Delete link next to the comment. Confirm that you want to delete, and the comment is gone forever.
- Slideshow: No, don't run in fear or dread the thought of Aunt Mildred's vacation photos. This slideshow just puts together a constantly moving presentation of all your uploaded photos. Why have just one static photo when you can exhibit all of your work in full color and motion? Click the Slideshow link on the Upload Your Photos page.
You get to choose from two styles, along with code examples of each. One style scrolls your photos from right to left, whereas the other gives you larger views and a more random display of photos. Just copy and paste the code into your main profile.
 | MySpace recommends that you put your slideshow in your "About Me" section, but you can put it anywhere that allows HTML. |
