All you need to start Windows Mail is a connection to the Internet. When you're online, just click the little Windows Mail icon on the Windows taskbar at the bottom of your screen or choose Start --> All Programs --> Windows Mail.
The Windows Mail window is pretty easy to figure out. At the top of the window, you find the familiar title bar and menus; beneath that, you find the Windows Mail toolbar. Table 1 provides an overview of the Windows Mail tools. The screen is divided into these three different panels:

| Lets you respond to all the recipients of the current message

| Forwards the current message to the new recipient(s) that you choose

Delete
| Deletes the current e-mail message

Send/Receive
| Sends any mail you've created and checks your mail server to see whether you have any new mail

Contacts
| Displays the Address Book so that you can add, edit, or delete contacts

Find
| Enables you to search for a message that you've sent or received, people on the Web, or specific text phrases

Folder List
| Toggles (turns on and off) the list of folders on the left
