Most people can get a good handle on Graffiti within a few hours, except for people under 15 years of age, who usually pick it up in about five minutes.

Another trick is to figure out which letters can be entered by writing a number on the letter side of the Graffiti area and a letter on the number side of the Graffiti area. If you write the number 3 on the letter side of the Graffiti area, for example, the letter B turns up more reliably than it does if you actually draw the Graffiti letter B.
